A run that was organised in memory of a local teacher, is all set to go ahead with its fourth year.

The fourth annual East Allington 10k and 3k Fun Run is all set to happen on Sunday, May 13.

The run was organised in memory of East Allington teacher, Mrs Claire Widdicombe after she tragically died in childbirth in 2014. The school thought it would be a great way to remember her and mark her own love of running.

Organisers Katie Lethbridge and Emily Tibbetts are reminding everyone that pre-registration is now open, and to “save yourself time and money by registering early”.

Pre-registration is £8 per 10km entrant, and £4 per 3km Fun Run entrant. On-the-day fees are £10 per 10km entrant, and £5 per 3km Fun Run entrant.

Registration will start at 9.15am at East Allington Primary School, with the 3k Fun Run starting at 10am and the 10k Fun Run at 11am. The presentation of awards will be at 11.15am for the 3k winners, and 12.15pm for the 10k winners.
