Kingsbridge RFC’s work at promoting girls’ rugby is bearing fruit, with four players, Abi Jarvis, Olivia Churcher, Ruth Tucker and Maddison Lidstone, selected from their U15 squad to represent Devon.

Two of the girls, Olivia and Maddison, are also playing up a year and so will be eligible for selection again next season, making the achievement all the more remarkable. The final game of the county season is on December 4 away to Somerset, with Devon so far undefeated, having beaten Oxfordshire 22-17 and Cornwall 36-15.

Training is on a Friday evening from 7.30-8.30pm with anyone welcome, irrespective of ability. This Friday Kingsbridge are hosting the Devon Girls U15 and U18 training sessions from 7.30-8.30pm, so why not come along and watch the girls train?
