Park met Buckfast­leigh in the Mid Devon League on June 30.

Rink one consisting of Dick Bond, Wilf Hutch­ins, Colin Steer and skip John Harding had a resounding victory by a margin of 24 shots to nine.

Rink two comprising Bill Rogers, Ron Ed­monds, John Fowler and skip David Hurrell also won well by 22 shots to 16.

Rink three of Steve Russell, John Peckham, John Yeabsley and skip John Brothers trailed all the way to lose seven shots to 26.

Rink four consisting of Mike Wonnacott, Richard Kerswell, John Hall and skip Ron El­son led from the off to win by 22 shots to 12. A win overall by 75 shots to 63, picking up 12 league points.

On July 1, the men visited Dartmouth in the South Hams Triples League.

Rink A with Mike Wonnacott, John Jacobs and skip John Harding trailed until the 15th end, but picking up counts of four and one during the last three ends, won 17 shots to 14.

A win overall by 41 shots to 26, meaning the Park picked up six league points.

On Saturday, July 4, Abbrook Park were the visitors again in the MDL.

Rink one with Mike Wonnacott, John Fowl­er, John Hall and skip Ron Elson took victory by 26 shots to 19.

Rink two with Wilf Hutchins, Dick Bond, Colin Steer and skip John Harding led all the way to win 31 shots to 22.

Rink three with Bill Rogers, Ron Edmonds, John Fowler and skip David Hurrell fell behind from the start to lose 15 shots to 23.

Overall this resulted in a narrow loss for the Park by 83 shots to 87, picking up just two league points.

The ladies met Lee Moor in the Plymouth and District League. Rink A with Val Hard­ing, Shirley Mitchell, Viv Rogers and skip Mavis Wellington won a close encounter 21 shots to 19.

Rink B with Barbara Elson, Pat Janes, Anita Elliot and skip Tina Thomas also won a close encounter 20 shots to 18.

The Park picked up the maximum possible of six points for this win.
