WHERE are your local fireworks this weekend?
In Aveton Gifford, there will be a bonfire and fireworks display on the village green on Saturday night, November 5. Food will be available from 6pm, including burgers, toffee apples and hot chocolate. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm and the fireworks will start at 7.30pm. There is no entry fee but a donation towards the cost of the evening would be welcomed by organisers.
In Frogmore, fireworks and barbecue will take place in the Peroration Field from 6pm on Saturday, November 5.
In West Alvington, there will be a fire and fireworks evening on Friday, November 4, from 6.30pm at the Ring O’Bells. With the new houses being built in the ‘bonfire field’, the fire will be scaled down. A barbecue will be on offer.
In Modbury, there will be a fireworks display at the Recreation Field on Saturday, November 5. Gates open at 6.30pm, the fire will be lit at 7pm and the fireworks start at 7.30pm. Admission is payable on the gate, £4 for adults, £3 for children. Refreshments will be available. Limited parking is available for £1 a car.
Be careful around sparklers and fireworks, they can be lethal in the wrong hands. Have a safe Fireworks Night.
Remember to keep pets inside at night on Friday and Saturday, remember to close windows and doors and turn on the TV or music to drown out the sound. Vets can give you more advice if your pet has a strong reaction to fireworks.
