A THURLESTONE resident enlisted the help of his friends and three boats to prosose to his girlfriend.

Tom Hurrell got down on one knee in front of girlfriend Amy Charlesworth, who is pregnant with the couple’s second child, in Cliff House Gardens, Salcombe, as his friends motored past in three boats with ’Amy Marry Me?’ written on signs.
