THREE sisters from Kingsbridge had their heads shaved on Wednesday in support of Cancer Research UK and the Little Princess Trust.

Krista, 28, Jody, 26, and Nikki Rogers, 16, had their hair shaved at Belinda David Hair Studio on Fore Street on Wednesday, August 31.

Krista said: ‘We would like to say a massive thank you to Sarah and Trish, you are amazing, from letting us choose you, doing the head shave itself and fundraising for us. There was a real positive atmosphere on the day, with support and encouragement from everyone involved.

‘It was a real pleasure and honour to fundraise for Cancer Research UK and donating our hair to Little Princess Trust, who make and provide wigs free for little children who have lost their hair as a result of treatment.

‘As they are two amazing charities helping people of all ages through the struggles and suffering of cancer whether it be treatment, researching for a cure, someone to talk to, providing wigs.’

Altogether, the sisters have raised over £1,100 and are continuing to fundraise by taking part in the 5K pretty muddy race for life in Plymouth on Sunday, October 2.
