Spiritulized Youth for Christ answered the BBC Children in Need’s call to help raise money to transform the lives of disadvantaged children and young people throughout the UK.

Despite the cold weather, they took to the Quay with the Spiritulized YFC bus and ran a sponsored cycle event from 6-8.30pm.

The event was open to any young person who was willing to generate a few watts in an all out sprint on an exercise bike in support of disadvantaged children.

At 8.30pm, Kingsbridge Rest Centre opened their doors for the young people of Kingsbridge to take part in the Great British Biscuit Competition to discover who would demonstrate the most artistic flair and creativity in decorating a Pudsey biscuit.

The event which took place on Friday, November 17, saw over 40 young people that night who collectively and generously raised over £70 for Children in Need.

The winner for the best designed biscuit will be released on Friday, December 1, with all designs available to see on the Spiritulized Facebook page.

Spiritulized YFC are an established faith-based youth charity that is actively involved in the community and works alongside the police, town council, local churches, businesses and community individuals.

They try to reach and support young people in the area as well as actively sharing the Christian faith in a relevant but non-intrusive or obligating manner.

The group would like to say a huge thank you to all those who took part and supported Children in Need 2017.
