I must take issue with the  letter in  last week’s Gazette accusing MP Dr Sarah Wollaston of having a ‘history of doing nothing’. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact the opposite is true.

Ask anyone who’s had dealings with her and the answer is always the same – she is incredibly hard-working and responsive.

My family have recently had cause to ask for her help and without fail she has been available, has always followed through with whatever she has said she would do and has continued to offer help and support in whatever way she can.

The level of practical help she provided was truly humbling and far exceeded my expectations.

To suggest that she is anything other than utterly professional and dedicated to public service is disingenuous.

Dr Wollaston is an outstanding example of dutiful dedication and the Conservative Party is fortunate to have her, as are we, her constituents.
