South West Highways are hoping to undertake resurfacing works on West Alvington Hill next week.

Expecting to take place between Monday and Saturday, January 22 and 27, between 7pm and 7am.

Sonia Marshall, customer liaison officer for SWH, said: "To enable us to carry out these works safely, it will be necessary to close the road for the duration of the works.

"If you are a resident within the closure, we will endeavour to maintain access to your property at all times and keep any inconvenience to a minimum."

The diversion, which as the road closure is an A-road, must be another A-road, is given as down Cookworthy Road, left onto Hospital Hill (the A379), left at the Churchstow roundabout (Palegate Cross), through Churchstow and left at the Bantham Roundabout (Bantham Cross) and back down the A381 to Langworthy Junction and turn left, back through West Alvington.

You can contact SWH about this work on 01404 821500 between 8am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, or you can contact Devon County Council on 0345 155 1004.
