William Dartmouth, Ukip MEP South West, of Whiteways, near Exeter, writes:
George Osborne has falsely claimed to business leaders that leaving the EU without a trade deal would amount to “the biggest act of protectionism in British history”.
The former Chancellor is putting forward ‘fake news’. The facts are clear: in 2016 China, the USA, Russia, Japan, India and Brazil exported goods to the value of €845.1bn to the EU. This is more than the entire output of the Netherlands. None of these countries has a trade agreement with the EU.
