RACK Park in Kingsbridge is the place to be for trick or treating this year, as resident ‘Pumpkin King’ Neil Jackson has been preparing his creations.

‘I carved them all last night’, said Neil, who grew two of the pumpkins himself, ‘we had Mum’s surprise birthday party at the weekend so I didn’t have time to do more.’ There are also two that his children carved at Woodland’s Halloween Day.

Neil, who his family say ‘loves his pumpkins’ and often carves a large display for Halloween, said he always gets his bigger specimens from his friend Dave Wallis in Loddiswell, but wasn’t able to do them last year as the crop was struck with a disease.

‘I plan do do them next year as well though. I’ve just got the light-up balloons to go on the handrails and we’ll be ready - come and have a look!’

Neil, who lives at 79 Rack Park Road, and his family say they are getting stocked up with sweets in preparation for the trick or treaters tonight and has decorated his front door and window in ‘spooktacular’ fashion. Happy Halloween!
