A PUBLIC meeting will be held in Salcombe to discuss the recently announced Joint Local Plan and its implications for the town.

The recently published ‘Joint Local Plans’, covering the South Hams District, West Devon Borough and Plymouth City areas, will be open for consultation and public comment until Friday, August 12.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 26th at 6.30pm, in the Library of Cliff House, and will be jointly hosted by Salcombe Town Council and the team behind the Neighbourhood Development Plan.

In the afternoon, information boards will be put up in Cliff House from 4pm, where people will be able to view the plans for Salcombe, described as setting out where ‘potential development could take place and how the area will change through to 2034.’

The town council are hoping to gather as much feedback from the town, to inform their own response to the plans.

They will also be encouraging people to make their own comments.

Town mayor, Cllr Mike Fice said: ‘The more people that we can get involved in the process, the more chance that any concerns will be heard.’
