Photographer Martyn Norsworthy has received three honourable mentions from the International Photography Awards.

Martyn, whose office is in West Alvington, won an honourable mention in the Events: Weddings category for ‘Yasin and Yvonne’s Wedding’, in the Fine Art: Portrait category with ‘Vanity Bomb 1’ and in the People category for ‘Reborn’.

Martyn has been awarded Honourable Mentions in the competition three previous times, in 2013, 2015 and 2016.

The International Photography Awards received 14,269 of submissions from over 165 countries. The annual competition is open to professional, non-professional, and student photographers on a global scale, and according to their website: “creating one of the most ambitious and comprehensive competitions in the photography world today”.

The awards includes a Lucie Statue and cash prizes totalling over $20,000, exhibition and publication opportunities. You can view all the winners, including Martyn, on the website: www.photoawards.com

Each year, the Advisory Board nominates deserving individuals across a variety of categories who will be honoured during the Lucie Awards ceremony. Once the nominations have been received, the votes are tallied and an honouree in each category is identified.
