Congratulations to Ceri Jayes for exposing the faults in the Britain Stronger in Europe (BSE) leaflet, Chronicle, February 5.
She is also right to point out the usual meaning of the initials BSE – bovine spongiform encephalopathy, or mad cow disease – and its symptoms.
You might say that any organisation that makes such a careless mistake needs its head examined, in this case Baron Rose of Monewden, the former chairman of Marks & Spencer.
