Gary Edgecombe, of Camperdown Road, Salcombe, writes:
Yet again we’re safe in the knowledge that we have our local MP to save us from not only Westminster, but the general EU dross you and I would have to contend with on a daily basis.
Let’s consider one or two of these points – I’m sure Sarah Wollaston wouldn’t mind.
Roads: we’re all enjoying our greatly enhanced perambulatory surfaces thanks to Dr Wollaston… oh, sorry! She would have made the roads an issue, were it not for a photocall. Her attendance was vital, as a photographer devoid of a Plymouth accent might have been in attendance.
Second, I raise the issue of planning permission in Salcombe. I needn’t expand on this. Build where you like, fellers… I’ll back you.
Water rates: Sarah has been campaigning on your behalf, in a voice so high that only dogs can hear it. Trust me, it’s been dealt with. She’s so concerned with her constituency that she’s usually unavailable – she’s fighting for your rights, remember.
I could itemise the various issues that Dr Wollaston has chosen to ignore, but I expect may be deleted for reasons of space.
Suffice to say that Sarah has no interest in her constituency, or her constituents, and you are better off writing to the Gazette. At least you’ll get a response.
