KINGSBRIDGE-based wedding photographer, Martyn Norsworthy, has scooped two awards in the inaugural Tokyo International Foto Awards.

Using images from weddings shot locally in Devon, Martyn showcased his typical style of wedding photography and won two honourable mentions in the Wedding category.

‘Kiss Me’ was photographed at the Thurlestone Hotel and is an emotional shot using the rich red leather seating area to create a ‘wow’ wedding image of the bride and groom.

‘Away from the Guests’ is a dreamy quiet moment on the cliffs over looking Soar Mill Cove. Martyn wanted to create drama using the landscape, and to set of the love of this couple in their new world.

Martyn said: ‘Its great that these images have won, they are both so very close to home and put the South Hams on the world stage.’

These wins come in a year where Martyn has also won awards in the International Photography Awards and the Moscow International Foto Awards.
