In the recent Christian Comment column about abortion, “Christian principles” were mentioned, but the overiding biblical principle to love each other seemed absent from the article.

The possibility that emerging techniques such as embryonic gene editing could alleviate lifelong suffering should not simply be dismissed as a “culture of death”.

These are complex and sensitive issues that cannot properly be aired in such a brief newspaper column.

Whatever your experience or opinion of abortion and other issues mentioned in the column, there is a God who truly loves you and we invite you to join us in exploring what that means through the person of Christ. That is the heart of Christian comment.
