KINGSBRIDGE Playspaces Group organised a Fun in the Park day on Saturday, attracting more than 150 people.

Attractions included a bouncy slide and face-painting, the putting green was transformed into a crazy golf course, there was paper boat making, a Nature Explorer Treasure Hunt, and owls on display from Totnes Rare Breeds Farm at the Recreation Ground in Kingsbridge on Sunday, July 3.

Gemma Marshall, Kingsbridge Playspaces Group, said: ‘The afternoon was a great success with everyone who attended enjoying the free activities and it was lovely to see so many local families enjoying the park.

As usual the face-painting was very popular as was the bouncy slide and the handmade crazy golf course. At a guess, around 150-200 people were there over the whole afternoon.

‘Thanks to everyone who helped to make this event such a success.’

People who went took to social media to thank the organisers, Emma Cook said: ‘Thank you for organising such a lovely afternoon!’ while Suzi Colton said: ‘It was amazing...aren’t we lucky to have such an event here’ and Vicki Grace Sear said: ‘What a brilliant day, thank you’
