Kingsbridge Community Primary School were in the fundraising spirit last week when they raised a brilliant £535.38 for Children in Need.

The children came into school dressed in something spotty, with some fantastic home made costumes being created.

Pupils and parents alike used their imagination to decorate old t-shirts and jeans with an excessively good amount of spots.

Mr Good, from Year Four was spotted walking round the school wearing a fetching red spotty dress which he claimed was because he was reading ‘Bill’s New Frock’ with his class!

To raise even more, the children also took part in a Run for Fun around the school grounds. Year five students and their parents baked delicious cakes and biscuits which they sold to pupils in exchange for a donation, which turned out to be a very popular event.

The cake sale alone raised a total of £297.44, with all other donations of £237.94 creating their grand total of £535.38.

A spokesperson from the school said: “Everybody had a fun day and we are all very proud of their efforts in raising so much money for Children in Need.”
