KALEIDOSCOPE celebrated its first year at 115 Fore Street in Kingsbridge last week, receiving a Gold Key Award for an ‘excellent service’ from Cornwall People First Quality Checkers.

Cornwall Quality Checkers is a social enterprise which carries out audits on services for people with learning disabilities.

Kaleidoscope commissioned the audit, which involved people with learning disabilities checking the services offered at the premises, and speaking to people being supported and the staff.

Following the presentation of the award, there was a party with karaoke and a buffet.

Kaleidoscope is a charity that supports local people to live independently in the community, with a ‘creativity hub’ on Fore Street in Kingsbridge.

The hub is a great place to meet up with friends and have a cup of tea or coffee.

The premises has wheelchair access and a lift to the first floor. There are also offices and facilities for courses, meetings and parties.
