THE South Hams Hospital League of Friends has a new chairman in Colin Pincombe as Daphne Jefferson retires.
Daphne retired from the chairmanship at the Annual General Meeting after six years, during which time vice-chair Terry Andrew said she has ‘worked very hard to support and raise the profile of the South Hams Hospital, in which she has a passionate belief’.
Terry presented Daphne with flowers and a bottle of her favourite rosé wine at the AGM where she confirmed that she was staying on as a trustee where her ‘considerable experience will greatly benefit the organisation’, said Terry.
Trustee Colin Pincombe has taken up the post of chairman and Terry said the trustees are ‘delighted’ that he has accepted the job.
