For the second time in a row, large numbers of people turned out to receive their Covid jabs in Kingsbridge and for the second time the vaccinations quickly ran out.

The last session was on October 21 and this time people were assured more doses would be available as well as more staff to administer them.

Second, third and booster jabs were on offer and the team was due to be in action between 12 noon and 5pm but Mary Lynes arrived at 12.50pm and learnt that they had already run out of vaccinations. She said: “I’m absolutely furious. I feel I want to thump someone!”

No new date has yet been set for the return of the vaxxers to Kingsbridge.

Anyone who would like to book a booster can do so through the National booking system, online or by calling 119 and these are available at places including Plymouth, Torbay and Exeter.
