MALBOROUGH with South Huish Primary School have been told their ‘leadership and management’ is ‘outstanding’ in their SIAMS Report.
The SIAMS - Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools - Report classed the school as ‘good’ overall with outstanding leadership and management.
Head of School Jackie Heath, said: ‘Like every school in the country we are inspected regularly by Ofsted, but as a church school we also have a SIAMS report - a church Ofsted - every five years.
‘We are delighted to report that the inspectors judged the leadership and the management of Malborough Primary School to be outstanding.
‘The report states that the vicar believes the children have “a generosity of heart that is displayed in the way they welcome new children from different faiths...initiate fundraising activities for children less fortunate, either locally or in the wider world.”
‘We are always delighted with the behaviour of our children, and it is lovely when others see it as well, The children were a credit to us all and we are very proud of them and our school.’
The report reads: ‘Staff know children and their families extremely well and are highly committed to meeting their needs within a Christian environment. The head of school, only assisted nu the knowledgeable chair of governors, has conscientiously ensured the Christian ethos has been strengthened as the only church school within the federation.
‘Leadership of RE is excellent and the gaining of a gold quality mark is confirmation of the commitment of the head of school to develop independent, resilient, resourceful learners for life within a Christian environment.’
