PUPILS from East Allington Primary School recently spent a day celebrating Ancient Egypt, having been learning about the ancient civilisation this term.

The children from class two spent the day dressing up, learning Egyptian dances and making mummies in an embalmer’s workshop role-play.

Class two teacher Debbie Ward said: ’The children have really embraced this topic and have learnt so much through their hands-on experiences.

‘I believe some of the children have even been mummifying dogs and parents at home!’
