Brian Trebilcock, of Washabrook Way, Kingsbridge, writes:

I was inspired to enter the British Heart Foundation’s annual London to Brighton Ride on June 19 by a letter from Nancy Smyth.

I have a huge family interest in research into heart disease, as my father and paternal grandfather died as a result of sudden heart attacks.

My eldest brother has had a heart attack and now has a pacemaker fitted and my elder brother died last year of a heart attack after a history of heart problems.

The BHF needs money to fund its research, so anyone wishing to sponsor me for the ride can do so via the internet at JustGiving – Brian Trebilcock. Any donations will be gratefully received as I endeavour to cycle the 54 miles.
