SALCOMBE Town Council has presented every child attending pre-school or primary school in the town with a commemorative medal to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Salcombe’s town mayor, Cllr Mike Fice, along with deputy mayor Cllr Andrew Biggs visited Salcombe Primary School for their assembly on Friday, June 10 to present the medals.

Later that day, the mayor and deputy mayor visited children who attend Beehives preschool and Rafters at Salcombe church to present them with their medals.

A spokesperson for Salcombe Town Council said: ‘All the children received their medals to treasure and remember this historic achievement.

‘Their smiling little faces said they were appreciated!’
