Malborough Village Hall and Playing Fields Association is keeping it’s fingers crossed for good weather on Saturday.
This biennial event is organised by the charity to raise funds for Malborough’s Hall and Playing Fields. And is also a chance for local organisations to take part and raise funds too.
It is always well-supported and enjoyed by many villagers and visitors alike.
It is being held on Malborough Playing Fields and in the Village Hall this Saturday from 12pm to 4pm.
With a bouncy castle, splat the rat and sports to entertain the youngsters, along with many different stalls and activities to browse and enjoy - it will be a fantastic way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
The raffle table will be full of prizes, and don’t forget to have a go on the tombola, wheel of fortune and bar skittles too.
There will also be delicious ploughman’s lunches and a barbecue, a bar and Pimms tent.
With demonstrations going on outside the hall - weather permitting of course - there is an opportunity to sit and relax while watching a pilates demonstration, beginning at 1pm.
Malborough Primary School will also be dancing around the Maypole at 2pm.
An interesting local history exhibition will be shown inside the Village Hall, with information about the Salcombe Lifeboat Disaster 1916 on display.
Live music will be played during the afternoon, so a visit is well worth while. You will be able to listen while you browse the many different stalls and activities, or sit and enjoy some delicious food, including a cream tea or homemade cake.
If wet, the fete will still take place. The hall is very spacious and, with the annexe too, there will be plenty of space for the stalls and activities.
