Clive’s Purely Plants (Clive’s), the vegan bakery based in Dartmouth, is recruiting for several new job roles locally to help the company meet growing demand for its plant-based bakes. The surge in recruitment comes following a continued rise in plant-based eating habits and a recent investment from Veg Capital, a high-profile investment fund headed up by Matthew Glover, the Co-Founder of the global movement Veganuary.
Clive’s was founded in 1986 by Devonshire foodie Clive Lowe, who began selling the bakery’s signature ‘Creamy Mushroom Pie’ from the back of his bicycle.
Since then, the company has grown to a 30+ strong team and is selling to major retailers such as Waitrose, Morrisons, Abel & Cole and Ocado, as well as numerous independent health food shops up and down the country.
The company, which provides year-round jobs is a Real Living Wage employer paying a minimum of £9.50 per hour.
