THE OXFAM shop in Kingsbridge was chosen as the winner of the town’s fair week window-dressing competition.

As always, the town traders produced wonderful displays of creativity, dressing their windows in the theme of ‘fairies, myths and legends.

Anita Dunster, who volunteers as a window-dresser at Oxfam, worked hard to produce a magical scene from A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Titania and Bottom caught the eye of the judges and scooped the cup for the charity.

Oxfam manager Pip Harris said: ‘I’m delighted that Oxfam has been chosen as the winner, but most of all I’m thrilled for my volunteer Anita, who worked so hard to make sure we stood out from the crowd.’

Oxfam relies on dedicated volunteers to keep the shop open. There are many roles to fill, so if you fancy giving some time to a good cause, pop in to the Fore Street shop and ask for a form – the hours are flexible and no experience is necessary.
