South Hams charity Families for Children is seeking adoptive families for children who wait the longest.

The Buckfast-based charity is holding a series of information sessions to give people considering adoption the opportunity to find out where to start.

Whether you are in a relationship, single, LGBTQ+ or have had children of your own, the charity would love to speak to anyone considering adoption.

All information sessions are currently held via Zoom.

The next meetings are scheduled for Saturday May 7 from 10am to 12noon; Tuesday June 7 from 4pm to 6pm; Friday July 8 from 10am to 12noon; Thursday August 11 from 6pm to 8pm; Thursday September 8 from 6pm to 8pm, Thursday October 6 from 4pm to 6pm; Saturday November 5 from 10am to 12noon and Wednesday December 7 from 6pm to 8pm.

A spokeswoman said: “We need adoptive families for children who wait the longest.

“Are you considering adoption but not sure where to start?

“Families for Children is holding an information session to give you the opportunity to find out more.

“Whether you are in a relationship, single, LGBTQ+ or have had children of your own we would love to speak to you.

“So come along and talk to our friendly team at this information session to find out more.”
