KINGSBRIDGE 16-24 Work Club is launching the Youth and Business Achievement Awards to celebrate young people and their employers.
The awards are free to enter and are open to local 16-24-year-olds and local businesses that have enabled and supported those young people.
There will be six categories for the awards – Apprentice of the Year recognises a young apprentice who has demonstrated commitment to learning, has added value to the business and who stands out as inspiring.
Apprentice Employer of the Year awards an employer who has enabled an apprentice to flourish.
Jack Tanner Legacy Award is open to exceptionally inspiring 16–24-year-old who has been making progress or has reached their goals or potential.
Learner of the Year recognises a 16–24-year-old who has been involved with internal or external training, distance learning or further education.
Employer of the Year is for a local business that has inspired, motivated and supported 16-24-year-olds to reach their potential.
Peer mentor/volunteer/enabler of the Year is to award either a 16-24 year old who is a volunteer, mentor or enabler to others in a work or business environment or a work colleague who has helped 16–24-year-old through being a mentor, volunteer or enabler.
Sponsors already on board include the Hair Advice Centre, Pizza Planet, the Soar Mill Cove Hotel, Sabre Finance and Pebbles of Salcombe.
Awards also supported by The Jack Tanner Fund, Vivid Results and Kingsbri-dge and Salcombe Chamber of Commerce.

The closing date for nominations are Saturday, November 14, and winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Tuesday, December 1, at Costa Coffee 7-9pm.
