Salcombe RNLI will be featured in the BBC2 Documentary, Saving Lives at Sea, due to be shown on Tuesday.
The programme, on September 12, at 8pm, will feature the footage gathered by the BBC film crew that trailed the team over three days.
But it hasn’t been all fame and media crews, August turned into a busy month for the crews at Salcombe RNLI.
The Lifeboats attended 11 Shouts in totals, of which 3 included medical issues, one of which was extremely serious. A situation that showed great teamwork, medical and local knowledge with strong decision making under pressure. Two crews working together for the good of a stranger with thankfully a happy ending.
The Lifeboats also attended regattas at both Salcombe and Dartmouth, as well as hosting a very busy second open day of the year.
