Concerning the recent proposals to redevelop the quayside area in Kingsbridge, I have three questions

1. Where are cars going to park once the car park is redeveloped? The cattle market and Fore Street car parks will not provide enough spaces. On more than one occasion this summer I was asked if there was anywhere to park.

2. How are boats going to be trailed in and out if the area is developed? Having gone to the expense of increasing the number of moorings will they be accessible? On Sunday mornings alone I have watched several boats just making it between the car boot stalls to the slipway. Some of these are quite substantial boats requiring large 4x4s and trailers up to 12ft and occasionally they have followed each other in.

3. What are the plans for Fore Street which seems to have an increasing number of empty shops? With the proviso that the ground floors have to be retail and a development that will take business away from the high street (providing people can park) will Fore Street become a high street of offices and  very little else?.

I am not against progress as long as plans have been thought through and my questions, and probably others, are addressed.
