THE Ring O’Bells in West Alvington has raised nearly £9,000 this year for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

Raising money with quiz nights, raffles and the recent fireworks display, the pub has so far raised £8913.36 with the Christmas raffle still open, so more is expected to arrive.

Vicky Bell, landlady of the Ring O’Bells, said: ‘When we first opened the pub, we were looking for a charity to support with our quizzes and Devon Air Ambulance was chosen because its a charity that supports everyone.

‘In a rural area like ours, they do a very fantastic job.’
