Peter Howard, of Woolston, Kingsbridge, writes:
I returned a blank voting slip in the 1975 referendum on the grounds that politicians must know more than I.
In the 1970s I started a food manufacturing business in Devon. By the time I sold the 20-employee firm at the turn of the century, seven – yes seven – authorities and inspectors had right of access to my factory without notice or appointment.
The costs of the impositions resulting from this were borne by the business concerned and most were Brussels-originated.
If we want our freedoms and worldwide competitiveness back, we must vote to leave on June 23.
