When I go to fetch my free prescription from the chemist, I am amazed at the number of people who are receiving large bags also. Surely this is what is leeching large amounts of money from the NHS.
I am sure many people, similar to me, feel they should make some contribution, say £1 for each subscription, would bring in a considerable sum.
The chemist, not the doctor, should administer any unable to pay this small amount.
The same applies to the free bus passes – £1 each trip would help to keep our rural bus services on the road.
