I think we are so lucky to live in Kingsbridge and its ­surrounding villages, but – and here I’m generalising – we do tend to take everything for granted. I am talking about all the services we have access to, many via the amazing work of volunteers.

In addition, I just wanted to express my thanks to the ­volunteers involved in Kingsbridge In Bloom and the Community Garden. They don’t get the accolades they deserve. They all work so hard, silently, to make our town not only look beautiful and productive, they also care about the environment and help make the town incredibly uplifting for everyone – but they do seem to be taken for granted. I would love to see an article in the Gazette about them so we can show our appreciation.
