A recent Kingsbridge Historical Society report stated that Nancy Astor was ‘one of the famous Mitford sisters’. This is incorrect.

Nancy Astor’s maiden name was Langhorne and she was born in Virginia in the US 25 years before Nancy Mitford.

Perhaps the society should publish a correction.
