THE Kingsbridge and Salcombe Macmillan Fundraising Committee is hosting a night out in Hope Cove to raise funds.

The event, to be held at the Cottage Hotel, Hope Cove, is planned for Saturday, December 3. Juliet Thompson, treasurer and secretary of the Kingsbridge and Salcombe Fundraising Committee, said: ‘This is an annual event which has always proved very popular with local people. It’s a chance to dress up and enjoy a great three course meal. It’s also an opportunity for us to say thank you to all those who have supported us during the year in raising money for such a worthwhile cause.’

Macmillan spend over £4.8million on services across Devon and Cornwall, including cancer support centres, Macmillan nurses, GPs, speech therapists, dieticians, welfare and benefits advisors and helping with financial grants to people with cancer facing financial hardship.
