It is impossible to debate Brexit though the columns of newspapers. There are valid arguments on both sides.
The referendum question was a simple one with a single yes or no answer.
Yes won for the simple reason that the people of the UK want to regain their sovereignty, govern their own laws, control immigration and not to be shackled to a federal Europe run by unelected bureaucrats.
In leaving the EU there are indeed risks, but then, there are risks in crossing the road – what one has to look out for is not to get run over.
