STUDENTS from Kingsbridge Community College performed The Sound of Music at the beginning of December following months of rehearsals.

Tickets for this year’s whole college production sold out well in advance and packed audiences were thrilled by the excellent individual performances and the extremely tight cooperative performances of the group ensembles.

A spokesperson from Kingsbridge Community College said: ‘We would like to say many congratulations to all the students involved with this year’s college production of the Sound of Music. All the students worked incredibly hard to achieve quite exceptional performances.

‘A special thank you to Mr Lewis, Miss Mitchell, Mr Johnson and many other members of the college staff and community for their help in giving students an experience that will be of untold value for the rest of their lives.

‘The commitment shown from the cast this year has been truly immense, with what must have seemed a never ending schedule of lunch, after college and weekend rehearsals. 50 years on from the film release, the whole cast brought our favourite musical back to life!’
