SALCOMBE Dairy Stem Ginger Ice Cream has won in the Café Quality Food Awards 2016.
Salcombe Dairy Stem Ginger Ice Cream has been awarded category winner within Desserts and Puddings, in the Café Quality Food Awards, presented by former Pop Idol winner Gareth Gates.
A spokesman for Salcombe Dairy said: ‘Salcombe Dairy uses only the finest ingredients and sources local products where possible. Making ice cream, sorbets and frozen yoghurt, all of their products are free from gluten, egg, artificial colours and flavourings; they also have a vegan suitable sorbet range.’
‘We are delighted to have won a Café Quality Food Award,’ said Dan Bly, managing director, ‘We strive to ensure our products use the best local ingredients, and feedback from our customers is extremely positive. We are glad the judges thought so too.’
The awards recognise the increasing demand for quality own-label and branded ranges at affordable prices in the retail and catering channels.
Organised by Metropolis Business Media, Group Publisher Helen Lyons commented: ‘What sets the Q Awards apart is the impartiality and rigour of the judging process, which rightly sits at the heart of everything we do - it means people buying products with the “Q” mark know they are choosing the best in the market.’
The winners were announced on October 21, 2016, at Marriott Grosvenor Square at an exclusive breakfast briefing.
The Café Quality Food Awards are sponsored by Graphic Packaging International and Sacla.
