EAST Allington Primary School pupil Amelia Login picked up another couple of rosettes at the Royal Cornwall Show this month.

Amelia, aged 10, won second place in the Nursery Stakes Working Hunter and also fourth prize in the Mountain and Moorland First Ridden class.

Riding her Welsh Section A pony ‘Solly’, Amelia had to ride a course of rustic fences in the Nursery Stakes Working Hunter.

Amelia also had to show off her pony, walking, trotting, cantering and performing a figure of eight.

Last month, Amelia won second place at the Devon County Show in the Mountain and Moorland First Ridden class.

Amelia’s mum Dena said: ‘It goes to show that you don’t need to spend thousands on a produced pony, you just need to find the right one and work hard.

‘We’d like to pass on many thanks to all of our friends who helped out at the weekend.

‘Particular thanks to Amelia’s brother Tom, who acted as her groom.

‘And to Felicity Thompson and Alex Farleigh for all their expertise.’
