AVETON Gifford Fun Run took place last month, raising money for sports activities in the village.

Encouraging fun and active exercise for adults and children, the three-mile route takes in the tidal road and a very challenging hill, but that didn’t put off the competitors as they took up the challenge on Sunday, October 11.

The winner of the men’s race was Andy Wotton, while Maya Hatton took home the top prize for the women’s race. In the senior girls’ race, Maddy Wotton took first place, while Ben Wotton won the senior boys’ race.

The junior boys champion was Tom Price, while Laura Derry took the top spot for the junior girls.
