Police arrest four drink drivers in four days

Kingsbridge police have reported that four drink drivers have been arrested and charged in the past week.

On Saturday evening, Angela Mead of Kingsbridge was arrested for drink driving. She was charged with failing to provide a sample once in custody in Torquay. She has been granted bail to attend Torquay Magistrates Court.

Also on Saturday evening, a 33 year old female from Dartmouth was arrested for drink driving. She has been bailed to return to Torquay Police Station pending investigations.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, William Vosper from Torcross was arrested and charged with drink driving and bailed to attend Torquay Magistrates Court.

And on Tuesday evening, Timothy Roberts from Loddiswell was arrested and charged with drink driving. He has been bailed to attend Torquay Magistrates Court.

A spokesman for Kingsbridge Police said: “I genuinely do not know what we can do to stop the current drink driving culture and really am open to reasonable suggestions.

“Drink driving ruins lives, yet so many people still think it’s acceptable.”
