SOUTH Hams Hospital’s League of Friends raised a record amount of £901 through their Christmas draw on Friday, December 16.

Patients from both wards at the hospital in Kingsbridge assisted with the draw.

Prize winners included Ann Yeoman from Soar, Mr and Mrs Thuel from Kellaton, Peter Hyde and Gerrie from Kingsbridge and Messrs Dickinson and Seedhouse.

Terry Andrew, vice chair of the League of Friends said: ‘The trustees are delighted with the wonderful support that the public give to the invaluable asset which is the South Hams Hospital.

‘At a time when a number of community hospitals in the county are under severe threat, it is clearly vital that every possible assistance be given to the hospital to ensure it’s success in the future.’
